Bandaid in bed and stained floors everywhere

Found a bandaid in the bed and floor is disgusting felt like about to vomit. Horrible even at 12:20 about to sleep and saw that.

Last chance hotel if you can't find one while waiting for the next day flight out of Miami International

Unfortunately the Airport bus service that is supposed to be twice an hour isn't and it wasn't until we called the hotel to find out where the shuttle bus was and then was told it was on its way. We had to call one more time to finally get someone to say it would be there in about 15 more mins. (That is just the start of us thinking is this really a Marriott run hotel?) The bus driver must have an arrangement with a local restaurant due to strongly suggesting it and saying they would shuttle you to the place. Being tired after our flight to Miami we really didn't want to play shuttle bus games again. Checking inn should have been easy, especially being a Titanium Elite lifetime member but no the desk staff didn't know what they were doing for checking in customers and the line of people just kept getting longer. (note: I'm supposed to get a check in gift or points, didn't want the points and they wouldn't give out any food or drink as a gift) Check in actually took probably 20 mins and when we asked about the on site restaurant hours was told it would open about 5PM. Well being close to 5PM we took our suitcases to the room and then went to the restaurant only to find out after waiting 15 min it wouldn't open until 6PM, food was OK but very expensive for 2 hamburgs and fries with a soft drink almost $75 Next morning breakfast is nothing really cereal, different breads, scramble eggs that could have been warmer and some fruit which was actually very nice as we were leaving on the shuttle bus back to the airport noticed the check out line was wrapped around the entry way and other guests were not very happy with the service they were getting. The Good: The room was clean and well taken care of, the bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep, the hotel it's self was in good shape and if not for issues checking in and the shuttle bus I would have given a higher rating. The Bad: The shuttle bus not running regularly leaving everyone at the bus stop wondering where the bus was and spending over 1 1/2 hour waiting The Ugly: The check in process and nothing in the snack store except alcohol On the scuba bubble scale of 1 to 10 bubbles I give this hotel 3 bubbles for service, 8 bubbles for comfort and cleanliness and 1 bubble for the price of food at the restaurant.

Great breakfast, updated rooms, and exemplary service from shuttle driver Emilio. He is very informative, prompt on timing, and provided cheerful laughs after long stressful days of travel. I will be staying at the Element when I travel through Miami.

We stayed here for one night flying into MIA and out of FLL the following morning. Just a flying visit. We really just wanted somewhere with breakfast and a pool. I had emailed the hotel beforehand regarding the shuttle and was forwarded a map but it wasn't clear what times the shuttle was running. We waited at the airport for around 15 minutes before seeing the element minibus approach but oddly it never stopped, it just drove right past the drop off point. Its very busy at the hotel shuttle point with people coming and going. We ended up just getting a taxi which was a short drive to the hotel and cost $15. I guess its a lot easier to get the shuttle from the hotel to the airport when they know you are waiting. The room was spacious and well equipped. We liked the kitchenette. As a family we needed to use the pull out sofa bed which was fine but we could've done with more bedding. The main bed was comfy and overall the room had everything you could need. We especially liked the water filter tap. The kids enjoyed splashing around in the pool for the afternoon. Pool towels are provided in a cupboard by the pool but it was empty when we were there. Nice pool area with lots of little lizards running around. The following morning the kids were desperate to go in the pool before we left at 10am and it did say the pool opened at 7am but it was locked. We waited until staff came to open it around 8.15 . Not an issue but just be aware if you like an early morning swim, it may be locked. Breakfast was good. As a vegan I noticed there was almond milk available (although didn't spot this until after breakfast and wish I'd asked). There were several hot and cold items. My main problem with breakfast (and not specific to this hotel but practically every hotel in North America!) is the disposable plates and cutlery! Just awful. In this day and age single use plastics are a massive no. Its been a couple years since I've been to the US so I was saddened to see this is still the case, it needs to stop. I don't know how anyone can justify it. Plastic cutlery inside plastic packets and disposable plates. Terrible. I see in reception they had an award for being a 'green' hotel. Not sure how any hotel can be green with a mountain of single use plastics being discarded every day. I hope this changes soon. Overall a good stay. Staff were nice, room was nice, a good nights sleep was had. Easy and convenient for Miami airport. Would stay again (and would use the kitchenware from the room for breakfast!) .

It's OK as it's close to the airport and has a free shuttle. Eating in was expensive for what you get; breakfast was underwhelming. Very pleasant staff at reception but they were very busy. Room was nothing special but clean and cool. Has a pool and a gym bur we didn't use them so can't comment.
